What is the difference between Rescue® Concentrate and Rescue® Ready-to-Use?
Rescue® Disinfectants are powered by Accelerated Hydrogen Peroxide® (AHP®), a patented chemical technology which blends low levels of hydrogen peroxide with other commonly-used, safe ingredients to deliver solutions that are highly effective without trading off on animal, user or environmental safety. Under the AHP umbrella, there are multiple distinct chemical formulations used in the Rescue portfolio.
Rescue Concentrate and Rescue Ready-to-Use employ two different AHP® formulations, and are not to be confused as the same product: the Concentrate is designed to be diluted with water before use, and the Ready-to-Use formulation is available in liquid form, which should not be diluted. The Ready-to-Use formulation is also used as the liquid in Rescue Wipes.
The Ready-to-Use products have a shorter contact time (1 minute), while the Concentrate requires a contact time of 5 minutes. You cannot dilute the Concentrate product to have a contact time shorter than 5 minutes.
All Rescue products, including Wipes, Ready-to-Use and Concentrate (at full strength) have a shelf life of 3 years (opened or unopened), and diluted solutions of Rescue Concentrate have a 90-day shelf life once diluted. Solutions should be stored in a sealed container to prevent exposure to air and to keep them fresh.
