Rescue™ is effective against gram-positive vegetative bacteria including Clostridium difficile. In it's spore form, C.diff is highly resistant to disinfectants.
Clostridium difficile is a spore forming gram-positive bacteria. In its spore form, C.diff is highly resistant to disinfectants, however, in it's vegetative form it is easily killed by EPA and Health Canada registered hospital disinfectants, including Rescue™.
In managing C.diff, an essential step in spore removal is the physical removal of the spores from surfaces. Several studies investigating cleaning and disinfection practices have demonstrated that C.difficile spores can be eliminated from the environment via physical wiping action. Accelerated Hydrogen Peroxide® based surface disinfectants have been shown to reduce bacterial spores by 2-3 log. Rescue™ lifts and removes soil load and pathogens from surfaces and is a proven excellent cleaner.
