Yes, Rescue™ Disinfectants are safe to be used around birds, however, we provide recommendations regarding the method of application to avoid any possible discomfort caused by aerosolization.
Rescue™ is safe to be used around birds and avian species with no issues to date. In fact, Rescue™ is used by a number of zoos and rehabilitation facilities. We would recommend applying the product using a foam applicator or by wiping rather than by spraying, to decrease aerosolization of the product and further enhance its safety around birds.
Rescue™ Disinfectants contain low levels of hydrogen peroxide, surfactants, and wetting agents. At the in-use dilution, Rescue™ has been proven to be non-toxic, non-irritating to eyes, non-corrosive to skin, and non-skin sensitizing.
Additionally, Rescue™ Disinfectants at the in-use dilution do not carry any hazard statements or hazard pictograms and do not require the use of personal protective equipment when handling the product.
